Sony no longer including permanent screen protectors for Xperia Z2 devices

There’s good news for you prospective Xperia Z2 buyers. At a meeting today at the Mobile World Congress, Sony confirmed that their “fixed screen protectors,” also known as “anti-shatter film,” will not be used on the Xperia Z2 and Z2 tablet. Instead, the devices exteriors will just contain bare glass and metal.

The previously used film had many problems, including their tendency to scratch and pick up fingerprints more easily than reinforced glass, which makes this news very welcome as Sony introduces their next generation of devices.
